1. Applicable Scope

CP-617 is suitable for the surface of aluminum and its alloys, and is a powdery chemical that generates a protective film from light rainbow gold to brownish brown on the aluminum surface. When used at room temperature, the generated chromized film will reduce corrosion and improve the bonding strength between the substrate and the coating.

Configure 1000kg bath

Add 4/5 of the operating weight of water to the tank, add CP-617 at the required concentration, and add water to the operating weight. Detect the parameters of the bath and heat it to the required temperature.

Attention: Before adding CP-617 to the tank, please dissolve it in water in a plastic bucket, and the bath needs to be prepared with deionized water.

Titration method for Cr6+:

Pipet 10 ml of working solution into a conical flask and dilute it with 50 ml of distilled water;

Add 20 milliliters of 25% H2SO4, add 2-3 grams of KI, and let it sit for 1-2 minutes;

Slowly mix with 0 Titrate with 1N Na2S2O3 until the solution changes from brown to yellow;

Add 1-2 milliliters of starch indicator and continue titration until the solution changes from black to light green;

Used 0 The milliliters of 1N Na2S2O3 solution are the number of Cr6+points.

Bath replenishment: Increase the chromium point by 0.1pt for every 1000kg of bath, and approximately 0.11kg of CP-617 needs to be replenished.

4. Equipment Material

The processing tank, casing, pump, and pipeline are made of stainless steel, such as 316L or 304L. 316L is the choice for maximum tank life. The heat exchanger plate is treated with polished 316 stainless steel. It is not recommended to use gas burner tubes. All seals and valve seats of process circulating pumps in contact with process solution and acid equipment cleaner shall be made of Ethylene propylene rubber, fluororubber or Teflon. Fluororubber or Teflon materials should be used in chemical feed pump components and other elastomers that may come into contact with concentrated supplementary chemicals.

5. Storage

This product is an acidic liquid and should be stored indoors in a well ventilated place, away from alkaline liquids.

6. Safety Considerations

When using CP-617, operators should wear protective equipment, especially protective glasses to protect their eyes and prevent contact with the chromium plating solution on their eyes and skin.

7. Environmental Protection

CP-617 bath is acidic and contains fluoride, heavy metal and Chromate and dichromate. It can only be discharged after proper treatment before discharge.
