AP-504 is suitable for the pickling process before chromizing treatment of aluminum, zinc and its alloys. Pickling with AP-504 can shorten the chromization time, activate the surface of the workpiece, and accelerate the initial film formation speed. Improve the quality of chromization, eliminate the metal dirt that cannot be removed during the degreasing process, facilitate the exposure of the substrate, enhance the compactness and corrosion resistance of the chromization film, and improve the appearance of the film. Reduce the consumption of chromizing solution and prolong the service life of chromizing solution.

Preparation Method:

Take the preparation of 1000L as an example, first add 1/2 of the water into the tank, then start the spray pump or circulation system, and slowly add AP-504 in proportion, and add enough water after it is completely dissolved. After the AP-504 pickling agent is treated for a long time, the bath is easy to age, and the pickling effect decreases. The tank can be replenished or reconfigured by means of continuous overflow discharge of the bath.

4. Equipment Material

Tanks, pumps, pipelines, etc. can be made of stainless steel, and nozzles and heat exchangers should be made of 316 stainless steel.

5. Storage

AP-504 is weakly acidic, so keep it away from moisture and store away from alkalis.

6. Wastewater Treatment

The handling requirements for regulated chemicals, given in the form of a chemical Material Safety Data Sheet, should be known and followed regarding the handling and discharge of chemicals. AP-504 is acidic, does not contain sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and is non-volatile.

7. Safety Matters

AP-504 is generally safe and has weak corrosiveness. Avoid contacting with skin when using it. Operators should wear protective equipment, especially protective glasses to protect their eyes.
